Whatever Happened to “the War on Drugs?” Is It Over? Are We Ever Going to Win? Who Is the Real Winner?

Question by Phil A: Whatever Happened To “The War On Drugs?” Is it over? Are we ever going to win? Who is the real winner?
Are alcohol companies, lobbyists and congressman the real winners in “The War On Drugs?” Or are the real winners the criminals who make fortunes and the terrorists who use our own laws against us to fund their terror campaigns? Why is it none of the major Presidential candidates wants anything to do with “The War On Drugs?” Can the United States really ever win this war, or are we so obviously losing, that we need to legalize drugs and tax them to fund treatment and schools, and keep the money away from Terrorists and Criminals?
